Twenty years of practice have taught me when to press and when to wait, and the waiting is usually the harder skill. What you get from me is steadiness, honesty about the patterns I notice, and no push toward a readiness you do not have yet.
Clinical work, research, teaching and leadership — each one feeding the others.
My practice grew out of two decades of clinical work with children, families and adults, alongside a parallel career in academia. I have directed an academic program, led an agency as clinical director, supervised clinicians, published clinical research, and taught at graduate level for twenty years.
I am a court-recognized forensic clinician specializing in clinical assessment and trauma treatment, and I hold Qualified Supervisor status through the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work.
"A steady, trusting presence for your healing journey."
What that range means in practice is that I do not run the work from a manual. I would rather go slower and have the change hold than move quickly and lose you along the way.
Licensure, education and affiliations, in case you want to check.
Symptom relief is a start, not a finish. The deeper work is understanding why the pattern formed — and what it has been protecting.

Evidence-based, and chosen for the person in front of me rather than applied by default.
Where a pattern came from, what it protected, and why it holds on long after it stopped helping.
Trauma-informed throughout, and never hurried. We go there once you have the ground under you.
Breathing, sleep, regulation. Small things you can actually use at 2am, not just in session.
Because insight alone rarely settles a body that has learned to stay on alert.
No paperwork before you know I'm the right fit.
About fifteen minutes. You tell me what's going on, I listen, and we work out whether I'm the right person. If I'm not, you'll leave with a referral rather than a dead end.
We build a picture together of where you are and where you want to get to, and decide whether that's ongoing therapy or a defined intensive.
We go where you're ready to go, and not further. I stay in contact between sessions, and we check the direction as we go.
I live here with my husband and my son. You'll find me at the beach, at lacrosse games, and at whatever's on in town that week.
A portion of every intensive funds a Woman-In-Need session — because every woman deserves access to compassionate care.
Fifteen minutes, no cost, no pressure. Tell me what's going on, and we'll work out together whether I'm the right person for it.
